In 1983, Mark Hauser founded his first private equity firm – the Haverford Corporation. The firm was very successful, and in 1990, it was acquired by Forstmann Little & Co. In 1995, Mark formed a new company – the Madison Dearborn Partners (MDP) which is one of the largest and most successful private equity firms in the world.

Today, Mark is a senior advisor at MDP and also serves on the boards of directors of several public companies. He has a very successful track record in the private equity industry, and his advice is highly sought after by many entrepreneurs and CEOs.

So what makes Mark Hauser so successful? Well, his biggest strengths are his vast experience and his ability to identify opportunities early on. In 2013, Mark was appointed for a second term on the board of directors of Schnitzer Steel Industries, Inc. Schnitzer is a leading recycler of ferrous and nonferrous scrap metal in the United States.
