About Pam Baer’s life and Education
Pam Baer is a famous American business lady, community leader, Philanthropist, CEO, and founder of FGS&Co. Pam attended her high school in Texas and later joined The University of Texas, where she graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and Marketing. She is married to Larry Baer, the CEO of San Francisco Giant, and together they have four children, namely Zachary, Joshua, Jonathan, and Alana. They currently live in San Francisco, California.
After graduating, Pamela Baer moved to New York City and worked in the financial services sector. She later created a direct marketing firm whose primary focus was on B to B strategy and financial consumers. Immediately after relocating to San Francisco, Pam sold her company to direct all her energy to philanthropy work.
Pam’s Philanthropy works
Pam Baer is known for her numerous philanthropic works. She is involved in many charitable organizations. Besides, Pam is an active board member of multiple organizations, such as Family House, Every Mother Counts Jewish Women’s Giving Circle, The Contemporary Jewish Museum, and Nest.
In 2002, she joined the San Francisco General Hospital Foundation and became a board member, the post she served for 16 years. Her leadership was notable because she engaged immensely in many charitable activities that transformed many people’s lives in the community.
As a lifetime Director of SFGHF, Pam is always on the frontline leading others in capital campaigns, strategy work, and events that helps in the generation of funds to help the most vulnerable in the community.
When Covid-19 hit the world, everyone is affected, including the vulnerable. The Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital remains the only safety net for many. The ZSFG helps the homeless, those without insurance, immigrants, the poor, and local communities of color. The Foundation’s 2021 mission is to offer accessible and quality health care to all.
In 2018, Pam spearheaded the creation and the launch of the Transform Mental & Behavioral Health Fund to provide accessible care to those living with mental health issues. So far, The Fund has helped initiate programs such as Telecare health and Acute Care Team. Currently, ZSFG is the only facility in San Francisco providing 24/7 Psychiatric Emergency Service.
